Today’s excerpt is from Heaven’s Superhero: The Third Creation.  Available from the One Stray Word Store and the Amazon Kindle Store.

Heaven’s Superhero: The Third Creation

There are seven Creations.

Each world is created identical. Each Adam and Eve are the same.

Their stories, however, have played out differently in each Creation.

These are seven parallel universes created by God.

They are protected and guarded by the Heavenly Host.

IN THE BEGINNING

The Third World was silent.

The sky was dark and empty. The stars did not yet shine and the darkness was absolute. There was a hush across the world

Then there was a streak of light as the figure fell. It was a burning scar across the sky with flames that scratched at the darkness. And, for one brief moment, the world was illuminated.

The figure crashed into the fertile, shapeless soil, sending shockwaves across the landscape. Dirt clouded the air. And for that brief moment the new world was alive in a way it had never been before. The air crackled with electricity. Then darkness and silence settled in again.

The figure lay face down in the crater around him, smoke drifting up. He wore the shape of a man, yet was distinctly not. His skin was featureless and already losing its golden glow.

He cried out into the soil. It was a cry filled with anger and sadness. It was a cry that told a story of one who had had paradise snatched from him.
