One Stray Word

I saw on Yahoo news that New Hampshire has become the sixth state to legalize gay marriage.

 Now, putting aside whether or not the government should really have any say in who’s allow to get married or not, the Bible is pretty clear on the subject.

 Homosexuality is a sin. End of story.

 26-27Worse followed. Refusing to know God, they soon didn’t know how to be human either—women didn’t know how to be women, men didn’t know how to be men. Sexually confused, they abused and defiled one another, women with women, men with men—all lust, no love. And then they paid for it, oh, how they paid for it—emptied of God and love, godless and loveless wretches.

 Remember the story about Sodom and Gomorrah? Those cities were destroyed. Why? Because they had become their inhabitants had become consumed with sinful activities. Homosexuality was at the top of that list:

 3 But he insisted so strongly that they did go with him and entered his house. He prepared a meal for them, baking bread without yeast, and they ate. 4 Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom—both young and old—surrounded the house. 5 They called to Lot, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them.”

 6 Lot went outside to meet them and shut the door behind him 7 and said, “No, my friends. Don’t do this wicked thing. 8 Look, I have two daughters who have never slept with a man. Let me bring them out to you, and you can do what you like with them. But don’t do anything to these men, for they have come under the protection of my roof.”

 For whatever reason gay marriage is a hot topic issues for politicians. Political careers rise and fall based on their opinion of it. Actually gay-anything is a hot topic these days. From politics to marketing. Gays are the new It Thing. You see the message everywhere, it’s cool to be gay, it’s cool to have gay friends. This is what our world is coming to. With that in mind and, let me just say this:

 God destroyed two entire cities. Later, He flooded the entire planet. Both instances he saved only one family each: Lot and Noah. In both instances sin ran rampant across humanity.

 Homosexuality is a sin.

 Do you really want to be living anywhere near a state that legalizes gay marriage right now?
